6R Annual End-of-year Class Chalet '09

Hi all,

The dates for class chalet have been confirmed, it will be on 17 to 20 November.

The chalet we have booked this year is the Aloha Changi Seafront Chalet.

Details are as follows:

Changi Seafront Chalets B, C & D

There are 3 seafront chalets. These single-storey chalets are fully furnished with

* a living room set with TV and games table;
* dining room;
* 4 bedrooms (air-conditioned) and furnished with beds, wardrobes, dressers, bedside tables and wall/ceiling fans;
* toilets/bathrooms with shower heater; BBQ pit and a fully equipped kitchen.

Changi Seafront Chalet B
4 bedrooms, 1 queen bed, 6 single beds, 1 bedroom with attached bathroom cum toilet, 2 common bathrooms cum toilet

Changi Seafront Chalet C
4 bedrooms, 1 queen bed, 6 single beds, 2 bedrooms with attached bathroom cum toilet, 2 common bathroom cum toilet

Changi Seafront Chalet D
4 bedrooms, 1 queen bed, 6 single beds, 1 bedroom with attached bathroom cum toilet, 2 common bathrooms cum toilet

The suitable group size for day use is maximum 40 persons only; 8 persons only for night use.

We will try to get chalet C if possible.

Also, the rental of the chalet is $45 per night thanks to Dickson's parents for being civil servants :D

Total cost adds up to $135 and will be split among those who are coming and staying over.

There will also be a BBQ, cost to be finalized nearer to the actual date of the chalet.

Please try to keep those few days free, after all it's our once a year major gathering (:

I will contact everyone to check if you can make it and to provide more details closer to the actual date.

A Cycling Outing

I hav suggested to Dickson that we will hav a cycling outing and he agreed so......

where: changi point, east coast park
when:18th December, time nt confirm yet
what: we will be cycling from changi pt to east coast, hav a break then cycle back to changi pt
who: those who noes hw to cycle (sry to those hu duno hw to cycle luh)
why: bonding and a test of your own physical cos we hav tried that and its quite tiring without rest

Hi all,

Year 2008 is drawing to a close, and year 2009 is about to begin.

Therefore, there are some things I need your help with.

1. Class Comm 2009

I need ppl to volunteer to help plan stuff, mainly chalet and a possible gathering in June.

Please let me know if you can and are willing to help plan.

Comm meetings will be help once weekly/fortnightly, depending on several stuff, starting as soon as everyone's end of year exams are over.

2. List of events 2009

23 Jan - Chinese New Year Celebrations
June(?) - Gathering, non-stayover (Not confirmed)
7 Aug - National Day Celebrations (Not confirmed)
28 Aug - Teachers' Day Celebrations
November(?) - Annual Class Chalet

You can choose not to go for the above events, but hopefully more ppl can come for class chalet so each person pays less.

3. Class Chalet 2009

We'll vote to decide whether to go to Aloha Loyang or Changi.

Hi all, coming saturday, 22 nov, is the day which our beloved primary school will be moving to its new campus at 30 Towner Road, S(328929).

meeting point will be old HWS campus at lavendar at 8.20am.

according to mrs sim, we'll be lowering the flag, etc. etc. blah blah and jogging/walking/blah blah all the way to our new campus.

then after the raising of flag (i guess) and other stuffs we'll have lunch in sch.

Hi,

For everyone who's coming:

Pls pay what you ought to pay. Last year some ppl dint pay dickson for BBQ food so this year he's pissed. He says he's going to PERSONALLY THROW OUT WHOEVER DOESN'T PAY UP.

So if you would like the honour of being personally thrown out by dickson, go ahead and don't pay up.

Otherwise PLEASE PAY UP!

Also, we're meeting at Tampines MRT (tap card there) before taking a bus to the chalet at 3.30pm on 10 Nov.

If you're coming on 11 nov onwards or if you're coming later, pls make your own way there.

You can take bus 29 from tampines bus interchange. Tell the uncle to let you know when you have reached Netheravon road B04.

After the BBQ, we're having a water bomb fight. So for those ppl who are NOT staying over and would like to join in, pls bring spare clothes.

For those staying over:

Pls take a look at the to-bring list and bring what you are supposed to.

Note that you are to bring $45 in total.

Around $10- BBQ food and equipment (Bring $10 just to be safe)
$5 - chalet rental
$30 or less - meals at own expense during chalet.

*note: breakfast u dont have to worry cos we bought bread and buscuits lerh.

some things regarding the cls tee:

We have paid the deposit. However, we need the rest of you who have not paid to pay up. We will arrange for certain ppl to collect money, and pass to someone who will be going with us to collect the shirts. (Kindly volunteer yourself if possible). Pls discuss among yourselves to choose a person whom you think has the responsibility to do so.
The design. We have decided for it to be grey base with lime green words. It was a unanimous (pronounced un-anonymous by Mingli) decicion among the 6 of us who went. It looks nice. So don't worry. But there are 2 designs to choose from. The back will be the same, but the front is different. For the 1st one, it is a pocket sized logo around the chest. Like that:

For the 2nd one, it is with a larger logo below, like that:

Pls decide which one you want. The price should still remain at $15.

If you do not decide ASAP and let us know, we will just take the majority of those who told us.

k i m sry to sae that we have yet to order the shirts due to price, its too expensive! So sot, the samaritan, went to find out more stores and she found 1 at Queensway which is willing to give us the price of $15 ( no brand, dri-fit, pocket size logo in front, name and no. behind) but she didnt get to see the sample yet so she issnt sure abt the quality of the shirt. at the mean time, pls pls guys if u reali think that the design is disgusting, suxs, shit or wadeva give me some suggestions either to add on to the design or a new design kaes? btw i would like to thanks those who went to meet up on fri. u guys had made the dae a memorable one, especially those who went to sot's house. so well looking forward to new designs and the nxt meeting. byeeeee!

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

And if your school has a cross-country run on that day, but not on the list above, can you please tag on the black tagboard what school, what time you guys would be released and the location?

For CCHMS and Victoria peeps, can you also tag about when you will be released and the location where you will be released?

For those who have normal lessons on that day, can you tag about what school and when you will be released from school?

1. the class tee is a whole cls thing. at least 35 ppl in our cls have to want the class tee, or else it will be pointless to hav a cls tee at all.

2. $15-20 is for a dri-fit cls tee without mock neck/wtv. jux normal dri-fit tee. oh yes, its personalized too. i.e. each of us will hav our own names on the tee.

3. cls chalet has not been confirmed yet, but we wld stiu lyk ppl to confirm wif us dates which u DEFINITELY cannot cum. i.e. Sunday go church, wtv day go piano/wtv. which means days which u r definitely not free. so we can narrow down the dates. n book chalet first.

just to supple Sean's tag,

me, sot and ze came out with this idea while crapping on mrt.

This idea's TENTATIVE so i will just tell you the rough details.

We will be dividing the class into groups,

and each team will be tasked with similar (but not EXACTLY the same) jobs

and will be finishing the jobs.

It will be an outdoor activity (yeapps! :D) so there will be running (not much, but the boys will love this one, eh?)

and there will be eating (bcause our theme is FOOD.) and of course, there will b thinking (not much... cause i HATE to think. D:).

Each member in each group will HAVE TO PARTICIPATE

(I love this part... *evil grins*)

or else, their marks will be DEDUCTED.

AND OUR AIM WILL BE:

ok... i m posting first time. So sad tad i dun get to c the whole class 6r todae on CNY eve... Well, i will have to push the blame to my sec sku! they onli let us off at 10.40am. then, i was locked in the sku for no reason. All becos the security guard din stay where she was supposed to b and din open the gate. LOL =_=. ok, for those tad dunno i got into strings enzemble. And i m so sad i was assigned to Mr Sze, the CONDUCTOR of the CCA to teach me viola. It's like so awkward. i think there r gd and bad things though... might help when the conductor is assessing me, i won't get nervous cos i c his stupid face every lesson. Okay... And then for the bad thing is tad he will noe all my weak points and check more effectively for mistakes... Sigh. Such bad luck on me.
It's like i dun realli wanna go strings that much lor. I realli dun understand why so many ppl wanna go strings in their sku. (eg. felicia soh and yuxin.) sigh.

Now, back to buisness...Today we so emo...everyone just hugged each other and don't wanna let go....including me^^ Lolz...And i vandalised 6R-08's whiteboard ~WHEE~ that was so fun!!! I written all 6R-07's ppl and their nicknames (yeah, you can hit me now) ^^ And in case you didn't know, 6R-08 has a blog just like ours!!! They copied us & wrote it on the whiteboard!!! I got into chung cheng main my 3rd choice............3rd choice!!!!!! Actually I can get into River valley my 1st choice, cause' my mum called and they said the cut off point was 251 plus hcl and i got 253 plus hcl...but i kinda figured that there was too many people applying there. My 2nd choice was Dunman High i wanted to appeal for there but then since my mum called them and they said the cut off point was 260 so it's like no hope le...............so I guess I'm gonna appeal for river valley and I want my 3rd language.........so i think i appealing for that too cause' i was unsuccessful in applying for it...
